Evening Dresses for women
We look forward to summer not only because of the vacations and hot days at the beach, but also because during this season, we celebrate the most memorable events of the year!
From senior proms to christenings and weddings we’ve got plenty of opportunities to raise a glass of bubbly and, of course, dress up from head to toe! 🙂
Apparel, which also sets the mood, becomes a crucial part of the celebration. Life-long question: “What to wear” always haunts us before the big days. Maybe a classic little black dress? Or maybe a linen dress to seem more natural? Chic evening dress? It doesn’t matter which one as long as it looks good ON YOU and of course, YOU FEEL GOOD in it!
So let’s talk about the most common mistakes that you should avoid when preparing your special outfit for important events.
Before we get started, I just want to say that this information doesn’t come out of nowhere. For 8 years now, I’ve been consulting Top to Bottom clients on this topic every day and I have gathered a lot of knowledge, which I can’t wait to share with you 🙂 So let’s get right into it!
When preparing for an important celebration, avoid experimenting. If all your life you were most comfortable in loose, free-falling, wider-cut dresses, don’t think of suddenly completely changing into tight cocktail dress just because you “want to try something different”. Sudden style change may not only not suit your figure, but also it can make you feel not comfortable during the most important events in your life. Leave experimenting for nights out with friends and family.
2. “I WILL LOOSE WEIGHT “
Improving body shape before the big day certainly does not hurt anyone. Occasionally, the event even becomes a healthy “kick in the butt” that makes us pick ourselves up to healthier habits 🙂 But first and foremost, you have to stay honest with yourself. Let’s say you didn’t manage to lose those few kilos in the last year, I’m positive from experience that it won’t work out in the next month. Not in any healthy way.
Choosing an outfit that is too tight can seriously sour your celebration, as women’s dresses are usually not easily distributed. Choose clothes in your size, and if you do manage to lose weight – narrowing dresses is a much easier process 🙂
3. NOT FOLLOWING THE DRESS CODE
If there is a dress code at the event, you must follow it! End of discussion.
Otherwise, your behavior will be accepted as very rude and ignorant. I promise you, you will not feel good, if you come to a black tie themed event in a floral summer dress 🙂
If you have problems understanding the dress code, ask experts for help. Top to Bottom girls will be happy to help both in physical stores and when choosing clothes online. The Top To Bottom assortment includes linen dresses for bohemian evenings, elegant one-piece jumpsuits, evening dresses for special occasions and many more. We have a wide selection for all types of tastes and sizes. TTB offers clothes that matches many dress codes and suits your impeccable taste. 🙂
4. IRONING AT THE BIG DAY
The words “IRON” and “EVENT” cannot be used in one sentence.
If your formal wear requires ironing, do it at least two days before the special day. Ironing those clothes should be done very responsibly, so be sure to find out how the garment manufacturer advises you to do it. Believe me, this advice comes from the painful experiences of our customers 🙂
5. LEAVING OUTFIT DETAILS FOR THE LAST DAY
First, what do I mean by outfit details? I mean handbags, accessories, shoes, and, of course, seasonal accents such as sunglasses, an umbrella, leggings, a jacket or a coat.
Now that you know what it is, I want to strongly urge you to NOT FORGET these things! 🙂 The outfit is important, but the final look depends on the details.
I always advise you to choose accessories when you already have the main outfit, but you should definitely not do it at the last minute. Well, if you’re having a hard time deciding, there’s always one good way to do it is to take photos of different looks and send them to your best friends for their appreciation! 🙂
For some girls, preparing for the events is effortless. They choose their clothes and accessories with pleasure, while for others – it is a big challenge and a headache. For those who don’t enjoy this preparation process, I always suggest contacting the seller directly via private message when shopping in a physical store or online. Why?
This way you get the most advice from people who work and have experience in the field. For this reason, I always invite Top to Bottom customers who doubt their choices to visit the physical stores in Vilnius or Kaunas, and if they don’t have the opportunity to come, to write us a message. We will take care of you!
Top to Bottom team always answers your questions and helps you to choose the best option for your occasion
By the way, we did a photoshoot. I organized it specifically to help you get some ideas on how to look during your celebration.
Photoshoot was in the Old Town of Kaunas, because most of the celebrations and their photoshoots take place there. In the pictures, you can see how evening dresses and jumpsuits for women, from different Top to Bottom collections, look during the events.
To create different looks, MULTI dresses for women of various lengths and fabrics were chosen, as well as ruffled dresses and the most popular colors – emerald and cream, elegant chic jumpsuits for women.
Thank you for being!
Until next time,
